Abigail Carney is a coach, consultant, facilitator and trainer with over 30 years’ experience working with arts, cultural and creative industry businesses on vision / mission development; programme and business planning; audience development and engagement; marketing, communications and sales; research and evaluation.

Abigail is a facilitator and focus group moderator who devises and delivers sessions with boards and staff teams to identify issues and opportunities, solutions and strategies to achieve success. Her reputation has also led to work beyond the arts sector in tourism, education and health.

As a trainer Abigail has devised and delivered workshops on business development and marketing for the British Council supported festivals in Ukraine and Vietnam; The Arts Council of Malta in Valetta; and for the Cultural Enterprise Office supporting creative start ups across Scotland with training and one to one sessions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. She devised and delivered the Marketing Module on the MA Cultural & Festival Management programme for Queen Margaret University for 7 years from 2011 until she handed it over to QMU to be delivered in house.
